Xten welcomes SIP veteran from Cisco

ONeil has 8 years of experience as a software development manager with a number of high technology companies including Cisco Systems in San Jose, California and Brooks Automation Software in Richmond, British Columbia. Highlights of ONeils career include his leadership in the development and delivery of a pioneering open source voice project called VOCAL, for Cisco-acquired startup Vovida Networks. Since VOCALs release in 2001, it has been downloaded by many of the significant telecom developers and providers..

ONeil has spent the past 4 years as a Software Development Manager for Cisco Systems, Inc., where he managed 5 successful releases of Ciscos SIP Proxy Server and, led a team that developed Linux infrastructure for Cisco VoIP products. Previous to Cisco, and Vovida, ONeil held positions at Brooks Automation as Software Development Manager, where he led a team developing a Java based framework for semiconductor process automation control. ONeil has also held management and engineering positions at Hughes Aircraft, Systems Division and Asea Brown Boveri.
